Colorado Mammoth News Release

DENVER - Colorado Mammoth fans wanting to match wits with coach Gary Gait and team management can participate in a "pick-the-team" contest and be eligible to win a trip to Phoenix to see the Mammoth take on the Arizona Sting, a weekend ski getaway, and free ski lift tickets and sandwiches.

The contest begins this Sunday, Nov. 12 when the team hosts its annual Maroon and White intrasquad game at 6 p.m. at Pepsi Center. Admission and parking are free.

Fans are encouraged to attend the Maroon and White game and evaluate the players trying out for the team. Fans can submit ballots, voting for the 23 players they think will be on the roster when the Mammoth opens defense of its National Lacrosse League title on Dec. 30.

Fans whose ballots match the final roster will receive two free ski lift tickets to Monarch Mountain and will be entered to win a road trip to Arizona, including airfare, hotel and game tickets to see the Mammoth battle the Sting on Jan. 5.

Ballots will be available in local newspapers this Friday, Saturday and Sunday and online at ColoradoMammoth.com. Ballots will be collected at designated drop boxes at Pepsi Center after the Maroon and White game.

The first 1,000 fans to the Maroon and White game will receive a coupon for a free sandwich at Heidi's Brooklyn Deli.

Fans not able to attend the Maroon and White game can still enter the pick-the-team contest by voting online at ColoradoMammoth.com between Nov.12-19. Fans whose online ballots match the final roster will also receive two free ski lift tickets to Monarch Mountain and will be entered to win a ski weekend at Monarch.

The Mammoth's training camp roster will be split into two teams for the Maroon and White game and all players will be available to fans after the game for autographs and photos. The Champion's Cup will also be available to fans - for the last time before the 2007 season starts - for photographs with the players.
