
Mallards Win Fourth Straight

Moline, IL-The Quad City Mallards continued their winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Motor City Mechanics Friday night at The MARK.
The Mechanics made it a 1-0 game late in the opening frame on a power-play goal by Greg Bullock.
The Mallards evened the score in the second. On a 5-on-3 man-advantage, Chad Woollard lit the lamp for his team-leading eighth goal of the season. Quad City took the lead just 1:58 later when Anthony Blumer rifled a point-blank shot past Mechanics' netminder Rod Branch for his sixth goal of 2005-06 the year. Jason Tapp had yet another stellar performance in the Quad City net stopping 27 of 28 Motor City shots in earning his fifth win of the season.
The Mallards hit the road for a contest with the Flint Generals tomorrow night. Game time is 6:35 p.m. central time. The Mallards Pre-Game Show begins at 6:10 p.m. central time. During the intermissions, stay tuned for the Swiss Valley Farms Intermission Report. Following the game, the Allstate Insurance Christy Cox Post-Game Show will air.
The Mallards return to The MARK on Sunday to host the Fort Wayne Komets at 1:00 p.m. After the game, fans are invited down to the ice for a post-game skate with the team. The Mallards will also be at The Bier Stube for a post-game party.
