
Mallards Release Serge Crochetiere

Moline, IL-Quad City Mallards President and General Manager Howard Cornfield today announced that defenseman Serge Crochetiere has been released. The fifth-year defenseman was hampered by injuries this year, appearing in just 23 Mallards games.
Crochetiere recorded two points (both assists) in his time with the Mallards. During his five year career, Crochetiere has played 122 pro games. The Daveluyville, Quebec native has 12 career points on three goals and nine assists. He has 462 career penalty minutes including 89 with the Mallards this year.
"Serge has had a tough year with injuries," said Cornfield. "But, he's healthy now, and we wish him well."
The Mallards are in Rockford for the last time this year on Thursday morning. Game time is 11:05 a.m. The First Capital Financial Pre-Game Show begins at 10:40 a.m. on Fox Sports Radio AM 1230. After the game, stay tuned for the Allstate Insurance Del Newton/Christy Cox Post-Game Show.
The Mallards return home on Friday to face the Missouri River Otters in a pivotal pre-playoff match up. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at The MARK of the Quad Cities.
