TonightÂ’s Game: The Outlaws and Generals meet for the fifth time in their six game regular season series tonight at Kemper Arena. Last Friday, Kansas City used four first period goals en route to a 6-4 win over the visiting Generals. This is the Generals final game in Kansas City this season. The season series between Flint and Kansas City will conclude Friday night in Flint.
Outlaws Notes: Kansas City enters tonightÂ’s contest with two straight wins and four wins in their last six games. With a victory tonight, the Outlaws will have won three in a row for the fourth time this season. Captain Jason Ruff has eight points in his last two games played. Ruff has two goals and six assists in the Outlaws last two contests. Joe Seroski is second in the league with 37 goals. Seroski has registered at least one point in the last eight games. The Outlaws All Star right wing has nine goals and five assists in the last eight games. Goaltender Maxime Gingras has appeared in 13 straight games, posting a 7-5-1 record during that stretch. Following tonightÂ’s game, the Outlaws will face a Central Division opponent three more times. Kansas City is 12-14-1 against the Central this season. The Outlaws will begin a three game road trip at Missouri on Wednesday night. Kansas City will return home to face Fort Wayne next Monday night at 7:00.
Generals Notes: Flint wraps up a grueling four game in four-night road trip tonight against the Outlaws. The Generals are 1-2-0 after the first three games of their current road trip. The Generals trail Quad City by three points for the eighth and final playoff spot. Bobby Reynolds is third in the UHL with 62 assists. Goaltender Marco Emond ranks eighth in the league with a 2.57 goals against average. Following tonightÂ’s contest, the Generals will play six of their nine remaining games at home. Flint returns home on Wednesday night when they host Motor City.
