Last Night

Austin Coldwell scored at 1:46 of overtime to give the Mallards a 4-3 win over the host Fort Wayne Komets.

Streaking

The Mallards have won four straight games and are one victory away from matching their longest winning streak of the season.

Playoff Picture

The Mallards hold the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. They are two points behind the seventh place Colorado Eagles and can move into a tie for seventh with a win today. The Mallards are three points ahead of the ninth place Tulsa Oilers. The Mallards today play their sixty-third game. Colorado has played 63 games while Tulsa plays its sixty-first game today.

Sweep

The Mallards swept a pair of games in Fort Wayne over the last two nights. A 2-1 victory Friday evening preceded last night's win.

End of the Road

By winning last night the Mallards finished a stretch of six straight road games 5-1-0. Overall the Mallards have won seven of their last eight away games.

Welcome Home

The Mallards today return home for the first time since suffering a 3-2 overtime loss to the Wichita Thunder on March 5. With that setback the Mallards finished a seven-game homestand 3-3-1.

Workin' Overtime

With last night's win the Mallards improved to 5-4 in games settled in overtime this season.

Busy

The Mallards today play a third game in three nights for the eighth and final time this season. They have gone 4-2-1 when playing for the third time in 48 hours.

Division

Today's game is the seventh of eight straight against division opponents for the Mallards. They have gone 5-1-0 over the first six games of that stretch and have gone 15-13-1 against division foes this season.

Between the Pipes

P.J. Musico has started and won four straight games and is unbeaten in regulation (5-0-1) in six games since joining the Mallards in a trade with Greenville last month. He has posted a 1.99 goals against average and a .938 save percentage with the Mallards. Musico stopped 26 shots in last night's victory.

Sudden Victory

Coldwell last night scored his second overtime goal of the season. On November 29 he scored at 4:14 of sudden death to give the Mallards a 3-2 win over Indy.

Arch Madness

Olivier Archambault, who had an assist last night, has tied a Mallard season high by recording points (2-5-7) in seven straight games. Archambault last night joined Matt Neal as the second Mallard to reach 40 points this season. He has totaled 12 points (six goals and six assists) in his last 11 games.

Double Down

Tanner Eberle scored twice in the first period last night in Fort Wayne and has scored three goals in his last three games. Anthony Collins assisted on both Eberle goals after picking up a total of two assists in 50 games before last night.

The Knack

Jordan Knackstedt pocketed an assist last night and now has seven assists in his last seven games.

Iron Mike

Mike Monfredo picked up an assist last night is now in sole possession of the team lead in assists (27) and is now tied for fifth among ECHL defensemen in assists.

Special Teams

The Mallards have survived their foes' last 21 power plays. The Mallards rank eleventh in the ECHL in penalty killing (85.1 percent) and are tied for fifteenth on the power play (16.2 percent).

Head to Head

The Mallards have gone 2-6-0 against the Fuel this season and 2-1-0 on home ice. The Mallards and Fuel will close out their ten-game season series April 3 at the iWireless Center.

J.T. Osborn Friday signed an amateur tryout agreement and made his professional debut with the Mallards... Jared Knight was assigned to the Mallards by Iowa (AHL) Thursday...Richard Nedomlel made his Mallard debut Friday after being assigned to the Mallards from Chicago (AHL) by St. Louis (NHL) Wednesday...Matt Neal (lower body) and Kyle Follmer (bereavement) have missed the last two games... Raphael Bussieres has missed the Mallards' last six games (upper body).
