
Mallards Deal with Flags

Quad City Mallards News Release
Moline, IL- Quad City Mallards Head Coach and General Manager Brian Curran announced today that the team has traded defenseman Jason Jaworski and forward Noah Whyte to the Port Huron Flags in exchange for future considerations. The pair of former Mallards are expected to make their Flags debut tonight vs. Muskegon.
Jaworski played 27 games with the Mallards recording a goal and four assists for five points. Jaworski was acquired from the Elmira Jackals on November 16th in exchange for defenseman Florian Iberer.
Whyte appeared in 30 Quad City contests. The Pine Falls, Manitoba native recorded four goals with four assists for eight points during his time with the Mallards.
The Mallards continue a four-game home stand on Friday vs. Elmira. Game time is 7:00 p.m. and the first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a team photograph courtesy of Swiss Valley Farms.
Saturday, the Mallards host Rockford at 5:00 p.m. on Genesis Jersey Auction Night. This year's jersey features a race car theme. After the game, the jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus. Other special items up for auction include a Detroit Red Wings jersey signed by former Mallards Head Coach and current Detroit Assistant Coach Paul MacLean and a Home Depot Racing Jacket signed by NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion Tony Stewart.
