Muskegon's Ryan Keller named Easton UHL Rookie of the Month

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Wednesday that Muskegon Fury left wing Ryan Keller has been named Easton UHL Rookie of the Month for January.

Keller completed the month with 18 points (9g, 9a) and a plus-17 rating in 11 games played. He had five multi-point games in January, including a four-point night (1g, 3a) on January 6th at Richmond and four-point night (1g, 3a) on January 10th vs. Flint. The 22-year-old native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is currently third in scoring among UHL rookies with 44 points (21g, 23a). His plus-27 rating is second among rookies and his six game-winning goals are second overall in the UHL. Keller also participated in the 2006 UHL All-Star Classic and netted a goal for Team Gatorade.

Other players nominated for the Easton UHL Rookie of the Month include: Adirondack right wing Kevin Watters, Danbury defenseman Frederic Belanger, Elmira left wing Jarrett Konkle, Fort Wayne center Dave Frawley, Kalamazoo goaltender Joel Martin, Missouri goaltender Kevin Reiter, Motor City forward Peter Szabo, Quad City left wing Matt Radoslovich, Richmond goaltender Mike D'Alessandro, Roanoke left wing Mike Wiggins, and Rockford right wing Chaz Johnson.

The 2005-06 season is the first year that the Easton UHL Rookie of the Month is being awarded. It recognizes the performance of players who have played in 60 or fewer professional games and goaltenders who have played 3,600 or fewer professional minutes prior to this season.
