Major League Soccer Coming to Detroit for Third Round Matchup in Us Open Cup

Detroit, Michigan - For the second consecutive year, Detroit City FC is set to host a team from Major League Soccer in the Third Round of the US Open Cup with Minnesota United FC coming to Keyworth Stadium on April 25 with Kickoff scheduled for 7:30 PM.

Tickets will be on sale to the general public beginning Monday, April 10 at 10 AM. The pre-sale for Season Ticket holders is already underway for the big match. All tickets can be purchased at detcityfc.com/tickets.

Last year Detroit City FC defeated the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer in the Third Round in a thrilling match that ended 2-1 thanks to two second-half goals from Detroit City FC's Maxi Rodriguez.

Detroit City FC competes in the USL Championship, the second division of soccer in the United States, 2022 was their inaugural run in the USL and saw the club qualify for the USL Championship playoffs. They play their home matches at Keyworth Stadium in Hamtramck, Michigan.
