Madison, WI - The USHL's Madison Capitols announced they have tendered their first two players in team history for the 2014-15 season. Ryan Lohin (Chadds Ford, Pa.) and Sebastian Fuchs (Lidingo, Sweden) become the first two members of the inaugural squad.

"Ryan and Sebastian will be integral parts of the foundation for the Capitols organization," said Capitols head coach Steve Miller.

A 6-foot, 180-pound forward with Team Comcast in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League in Pennsauken, N.J., the 17-year-old Lohin tallied 47 goals and 52 assists in just 56 games for the club this past season. The son of Margie and Dave, the left-hand shooting Lohin has committed to the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.

"Ryan has outstanding rink sense; he is a responsible player who plays the game the right way," said Miller. "He will make his teammates better, but he also has a great feel for scoring around the net."

The first ever international player to be tendered by the Capitols, the 17-year-old Fuchs spent the 2013-14 season with the Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League, where he scored 38 points. The 5-foot-10-inch, 175-pound left-hand shooting forward played his youth hockey in his native Sweden.

"Sebastian is a very creative player," said Miller. "He has great poise and rink sense, and he is able to make his teammates better with his outstanding feel for the game."

Fuchs, son of Anna and Mikael, has committed to play college hockey at the University of Denver, where Miller served on the coaching staff for 20 years.
