PEARL, MS - The Mississippi Braves (27-30) rallied for five runs in the ninth but still came up short in a 12-9 loss to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (36-22) in the series opener on Tuesday night at Blue Wahoos Stadium.
Tyler Tolve's three-run homer in the third inning highlighted the first eight innings for the M-Braves. The home run gave the M-Braves a 3-1 lead at the time. Tolve homered in his last two games, including a solo shot to center field at Trustmark Park on Saturday night. Tolve went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk and four RBI.

Lugbauer was forced to exit after talking with a trainer following a double that extended his hit streak to nine games. Moritz went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
