Recap: The Lynx bats continue to cause problems for opposition pitching. On this night the Lynx got on the board first, as Geronimo Gil homered to left in the bottom of the 2nd. The Lynx are now 7-0 this season when scoring the first run. Pawtucket came back with three in the top of the fourth, both runs coming on homers, a solo shot by Earl Synder and a two run shot by Justin Sherrod off of Lynx starter Sean Bergman. The Lynx countered back quickly in the bottom half, as Clay Bellinger led off with a double to left. One out later, Pedro Swann hit his second homer of the year, a mammoth blast to right center, tying the game. After a Geronimo Gil walk and an Eddy Garabito single, Tim Raines Jr. grounded out, scoring Gil and putting the Lynx ahead. Next up was Mike Fontenot, who singled up the middle, scoring Garabito to put Ottawa up 5-3. After the Paw Sox got one back in the top of the fifth, the Lynx offense would not be denied. Pedro Swann's RBI single to left scored Jack Cust, who had walked to lead off the bottom of the 5th, and Eddy Garabito added an RBI sac fly, to give the Lynx some insurance. The Lynx would add another run in the 6th, as Mike Fontenot singled and came to count on Chad Mottola's double off the right field wall. Pawtucket would not go quiety though, scoring three runs in the 7th off of Lynx reliever Eddy Rodriguez to pull within one at 8-7. The Lynx gave themsevles some more breating room in the 8th, as Tim Raines Jr. singled, stole second, moved to third on Mike Fontenot's fourth hit of the night (a bunt single), and scored on Chad Mottola's sac fly to left. Darwin Cubillan would get the final three outs to collect his fourth save of the season.
