
Lynx to Host Free Basketball Clinics Throughout June

Minneapolis/St. Paul - The Minnesota Lynx today announced that they are partnering with MidCountry Bank for the third consecutive season to bring Free Basketball Clinics to area Basketball Associations. This year the two organizations will partner to host three clinics during June, featuring four Lynx players, including the team's three Olympians: Seimone Augustus, Maya Moore and Lindsay Whalen.
The clinics will focus on teaching basic basketball fundamentals. All three clinics will be run by Daniel Makepeace, and will be held:
*June 11 from 2-4 p.m. at Minnetonka Senior High School, featuring Seimone Augustus and Erin Thorn
*June 19 from 3:30-5 p.m. at McLeod County Fair Grounds, featuring Lindsay Whalen
*June 29 from 2-4 p.m. at Apple Valley Community College, featuring Maya Moore
The clinics on June 11 and 19 will be open to all girls ages 8-13, while the June 19 clinic will be open to both boys and girls from 8-13. Additionally, all clinic participants will receive a complimentary ticket package to a Lynx game.
