
Lynx Sign Emily Engstler

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has signed forward Emily Engstler to a hardship contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
Engstler, a 6-1 forward, was drafted fourth overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2022 WNBA Draft and averaged 5.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 blocks in 18.2 minutes per game for the 2022 season. Engstler was waived by the Fever in April before signing with the Washington Mystics, where she registered 15 points, 12 rebounds and one block in the two preseason games she appeared in for Washington. The Queens, New York native spent her final college season at the University of Louisville after a three-year stint with Syracuse. She averaged 11.9 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists during the 2021-22 season.
The Lynx hit the road for a three-game series to first take on the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday, June 16 at Crypto.com Arena. Tip is set for 9:00 p.m. CT and will broadcast on ION.
