NEXT LYNX GAME

LYNX @ DETROIT - FRIDAY, JUNE 20 - 6:30 PM - PALACE OF AUBURN HILLS - BOB FM106 - NBATV

Minnesota will travel to Detroit Friday, looking to sweep the season series from the Shock. Minnesota defeated Detroit in their season-opener back on May 18 84-70. Charde Houston led Minnesota with 21 points. Candice Wiggins and Seimone Augustus tallied 15 and 14 points respectively. The all-time series sits at 8-8 and Minnesota is 2-5 at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Detroit currently sits at 8-3, good for second place in the Eastern Conference. The Shock are led in scoring by Katie Smith's 16.8 ppg. Cheryl Ford leads Detroit in rebounding averaging 8.3 rpg and Deanna Nolan dishes out a team-leading 5.8 apg. Friday's game can be heard on the radio home of the Lynx BOB FM106 with Lynx announcer Alan Horton on the call. Minnesota will return to Target Center Saturday to battle Houston in its first of three back-to-backs this season.

LYNX PAIR WITH RED CROSS - OFFER "3-POINT PLAY"

The Lynx and the WNBA Court of Dreams program are teaming up to donate a portion of ticket profits from select Minnesota home games to the American Red Cross Twin Cities Area Chapter.

In a three-point play, Lynx fans can catch their favorite team live, save money on tickets and give back to the Twin Cities Red Cross all at the same time. Continuing for the next three home games at Target Center: Saturday June 21 vs. Houston, Tuesday June 24 vs. New York and Thursday June 26 vs. Sacramento, fans can buy a $30 ticket for just $20. As an extra benefit, the Lynx will give $10 of each ticket sold to the Twin Cities Red Cross to help cover the cost of life saving services.

NICKY ANOSIKE REBOUNDING WITH THE BEST OF THEM

Drafted for her toughness and defensive ability, Nick Anosike has provided just that and some to the Lynx. Coming into Friday's game in Detroit, Anosike has totaled 67 rebounds in 10 games, good for an average of 6.7 rpg, which ranks her third amongst rookies and 15th overall in the WNBA. In addition to being among this year's best rebounders in the WNBA, Anosike has also etched her place in the Lynx record books. In the five-game stretch beginning Tuesday, June 3 at Atlanta and ending Thursday, June 12 vs. Sacramento, Anosike grabbed 47 rebounds, marking the best five-game haul by any Lynx player since Tamika Williams in 2002:
