LYNX ON A ROLL
With their 75-62 win over the Houston Comets on Sunday, The Minnesota Lynx improved to 4-4 overall and 4-1 in their last five games. During that stretch the team has averaged 85.8 ppg while holding their opponents to 76.8 ppg. Seimone Augustus has averaged 24.6 ppg in those games.
OHLDE FINDING HER STRIDE
After a slow start Lynx forward Nicole Ohlde has regained the role she had last season as the Lynx' go-to player on the inside. In the last four games Ohlde has averaged 13.3 points and 10.0 rebounds. During that stretch she has been second on the team in scoring behind Seimone Augustus' 24.3 ppg. In Friday's win over San Antonio, Ohlde recorded a season-high 18 points to go along with her 12 rebounds. On the year she is averaging 10.4 points and 7.0 rebounds.

Seattle at Minnesota - Wednesday, June 14, at Target Center (7 p.m.) Minnesota's match-ups with the best of the WNBA continue as the Lynx take on the Seattle Storm Wednesday nigh (June 14) at Target Center. The Storm have dropped three of their last four to fall to 4-5 and below the Lynx in the standings, but they still feature one of the top guard-forward tandems in the league in Sue Bird and Lauren Jackson. All off the Lynx' first eight games have come against teams in the top four spots in their respective conferences. Jackson leads the Storm in scoring at 21.4 ppg. Bird leads the team in assists and is second in the WNBA at 5.4 per game. The Lynx are 11-9 all-time against the Storm. Last season they split the season series 2-2, each winning a game at home and a game on the road.
LYNX HOST READING TIME OUT
Minnesota Lynx forward Adrian Williams and guard Megan Duffy will be hosting a Reading Timeout event sponsored by American Family Insurance today at 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Target Center. The players will be reading the book Sylvester and the Magic Pebble to 85 children (ages 4-9 years old) from Anoka County Community Action Programs, Pillsbury United Communities and Chrysalis. They will also be assisting the children in making donkey ears and tails that they will be wearing during the reading portion of the reading timeout. Reading Timeout is a part of the WNBA's Read to Achieve program, a year-round literacy program to help young people develop a life-long love for reading. Read to Achieve is the most extensive educational outreach initiative in the history of professional sports.
