THE WEEK AHEAD

Tuesday, June 13 - at Mystics - 7:00 p.m.

The Sting hit the road on Tuesday to open a home-and-home series with the Washington Mystics. It will be the second meeting between the two Eastern Conference foes this season. In the first meeting, Tammy Sutton-Brown scored 16 points to lead the Sting to a 73-63 victory on May 25.


Thursday, June 15 - vs. Mystics - 7:00 p.m.

The Sting return to Charlotte Bobcats Arena to host the Mystics on Thursday. It will mark the third matchup between the Sting and the Mystics in Charlotte's first eight games. The Mystics are led by Duke alum Alana Beard who averages 21.1 points.


Sunday, June 18 - at Fever - 6:00 p.m.

Charlotte heads back on the road on Sunday as they travel to Indiana to take on the Fever for the second time this season. Charlotte holds a 1-0 lead in the season series after defeating Indiana 70-59 on Friday, June 9. The Sting shot .458 from the field in the win.

Catch the Sting on ESPN2 on Tuesday, June 13 as they travel to the nation's capital to face the Mystics. Charlotte defeated Washington in their first meeting, 73-63, on May 25

WNBA ALL-DECADE TEAM TO BE ANNOUNCED
The All-Decade Team will be announced by WNBA President Donna Orender on ESPN2 during halftime of the Sting at Mystics game on Tuesday. The All-Decade Team will honor the 10 players who have contributed to the overall success of the WNBA, with consideration given to on-court performance and ability, leadership, sportsmanship and community service, as well as contribution to team success and the growth of women's basketball. Voting was conducted among fans through WNBA.com, a panel of national and WNBA-market media and current WNBA players and coaches.

DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE
Tangela Smith posted her first double-double of the season and the first by a Sting player in 2006 as she recorded season-highs in points (16) and rebounds (11) on Friday, June 9 against Indiana. Smith has now tallied 12 double-doubles over the course of her WNBA career.

PICKING UP THE PACE
After averaging a WNBA-low 61.6 points last season the Sting are picking up the pace on the offensive end. Through six games this season the Sting are averaging 71.0 points.

DEFENSE!
The Sting held the Fever to 59 points and .338 percent shooting from the field on Friday. Both were the lowest totals posted by a Sting opponent this season. In their two wins, the Sting have held their opponent to 61.0 points and .375 percent shooting. In Charlotte's losses, their opponent averages 83.3 points on .489 shooting.

ALL-STAR VOTING
Five Sting players - Monique Currie, Allison Feaster, Sheri Sam, Tangela Smith and Tammy Sutton-Brown - are listed on the 2006 WNBA All-Star ballot. Fans can send their favorite stars to the WNBA All-Star game on July 12 in New York City by casting their vote on wnba.com or at a Sting game at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Voting runs through June 25.

The Sting rallied from a 14-point deficit early in the game and then outscored the Fever 23-13 in the fourth quarter to post a 70-59 win over Indiana for their second win of the season. Tangela Smith and Tammy Sutton-Brown combined for 34 points and 18 rebounds in the victory. Anna DeForge and Ebony Hoffman each scored 14 to pace the Fever.
