Lynx Announce Skills Competition Thursday

Augusta Lynx News Release
The Augusta Lynx will host a team All-Star Skills Competition for Lynx Sponsors, Kool Kat Kids Klub members, and Season Ticket Holders.
Scheduled for Thursday night at 7:30 pm on the ice at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center, the skills competition will feature six different team and individual competitions, plus an overall goaltender competition. Lynx players will compete in the following events:
· Team Puck Control Relay
· Individual Puck Control Relay
· Hardest Shot
· Rapid Fire
· Breakaway Competition
· Accuracy Shooting
All shooting events (Hardest Shot, Rapid Fire, Breakaway) will count towards each goaltenders goals against average to determine the winner between the netminders. All Lynx players are eligible for the competition, and teams will be determined before the competition.
In addition, Poppa Johns will provide pizza for fans in attendance at the competition as well. For further information please call the Lynx office at (706) 724-4ICE. Augustas next home game will be December 30th against the South Carolina Stingrays, scheduled for 7:05 pm. Pre-game show kicks off on NEWSTALKSPORTS 1630 with the Voice of the Lynx, Tom Callahan. Tickets are $10, $13, and $14, with discounts available for seniors, students, military personnel, and Comcast cable subscribers!
