
Lynx Announce Revised 08-09 Schedule

AUGUSTA, Ga.−The Augusta Lynx have finalized their schedule for the 2008-09 season, General Manager Dan Troutman announced today.
"We're pleased with the revised schedule," Troutman said. "Obviously the exclusion of Pensacola changes some plans, but we're looking forward to using this schedule to continue to build our fan base and grow attendance."
The Lynx will open their 08-09 season against the Mississippi Sea Wolves on Friday, Oct. 17 at 7p.m., the first of eight total meetings between the two clubs at James Brown Arena for the year. The Lynx are also slated to go to Biloxi, Miss. for eight games, as well.
The South Division rivalries will continue this season, as the Lynx host the Charlotte Checkers five times and travel to the Queen City for 10 games, host the Gwinnett Gladiators six times and travel for four, host the Florida Everblades eight times and travel for four, and host the South Carolina Stingrays seven times and travel for five.
The Lynx will also play four teams from the North Division, as they travel to play the Elmira Jackals twice and Reading Royals once from Friday, Oct. 24 through Sunday, Oct. 26. The Dayton Bombers visit the James Brown Arena on Sunday, Nov. 23, while the Lynx head to Ohio for two games with the Bombers on Friday, Jan. 30 and Saturday, Jan. 31. The Trenton Devils make their lone appearance of the season when they stop by on Tuesday, March 3.
Other schedule highlights include the Lynx hosting the Everblades on Friday, Dec. 26, and the intra-state rival Gladiators on Wednesday, Dec. 31 for the Lynx' annual New Years Eve celebration. A full schedule breakdown can be found here.
