
Lynx Announce Local Broadcast Partners for 2011 Season

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team's local broadcast partners for the upcoming 2011 WNBA season. Fox Sports North, beginning its 13th-consecutive year of broadcasting Lynx games, will televise locally a total of six Lynx games this summer, while BOB 106 will carry all 34 games on radio.

Fox Sports North's six-game schedule begins with No. 1 overall pick Maya Moore's Target Center debut on Sunday, June 5 vs. Candace Parker and the Los Angeles Sparks. Other highlights of the Fox Sports North television schedule include Tamika Catchings and the Indiana Fever on Sunday, June 26, Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday, July 13, and the Lynx' regular-season home finale on Thursday, Sept. 8 vs. the Chicago Sky. Marney Gellner and Lea B. Olsen will team up on the broadcasts for the second consecutive season.
BOB 106 returns for its sixth-straight season as Minnesota's radio partner. All 34 regular-season games will broadcast live over the air, as well as on wnba.com. Lynx broadcaster Alan Horton enters his fourth year calling games for the Lynx.
The Lynx will tip off the team's 13th season of basketball in the Twin Cities with their home opener on Sunday, June 5, when they host the Los Angeles Sparks at 2:30 p.m. at Target Center. Season, group and single-game tickets are all on sale right now. Lower-level season tickets are available for as little as $150, lower-level single-game tickets can be purchased for as low as $10 and groups of 10 or more can purchase lower-level single-game tickets for as little as $8.
