LAST TIME OUT: The Hillcats lost to the Frederick Keys 17-3 last night...The Keys scored in every inning except the first and the eighth, starting with five runs in the second...A pair of Hillcats errors helped the Keys with their rally as RHP Wes Parsons allowed five runs, three earned, in that frame highlighted by a two-run double for CF Mike Yastrzemski...LF Michael Burgess added a solo homer in the third and a three-run shot in the fourth giving the Keys a 9-0 advantage...Lynchburg got on the borard with two runs in the fourth...CF Will Skinner and SS Emerson Landoni drove in runs...Parsons (4-5) left the game after four innings allowing nine runs, seven earned, on eight hits, and he eventually suffered the loss...RHP Navery Moore took over and the Keys continued to pull away...C Zane Chavez hit solo home run, and Yastrzemski hit a two-run blast in the fifth...Moore allowed two more unearned runs in the sixth...1B Justin Bloxom drove in the final Hillcat run with a sac fly in the sixth...Frederick scored twice in the seventh and one more in the ninth to make 17-3...Yastrzemski led off the ninth with a triple completing the cycle as he went 5-for-6 with two doubles and five RBIs...RHP Branden Kline (5-3) gave up three runs in five-plus innings and earned the win, while RHP Dennis Torres pitched the final four frames and got the blow out save, his first...The Hillcats are 8-8 in the second half and have fallen a half-game out of first place...

VS. FREDERICK: The Hillcats are 9-4 against the Keys this season, yet the Keys have out-scored the Hillcats 71-65 in the season series after last night's 14-run pounding...The Hillcats haven't lost a series against Frederick yet splitting a four-game series in Lynchburg opening weekend, winning three of four in Frederick April 11-14, and sweeping the Keys in Lynchburg May 27-29, which is one of just two series sweeps the Hillcats have this season...OF Will Skinner is batting .311 (14-for-45) against the Keys with four home runs and 13 RBIs in 13 games...Meanwhile, OF Glynn Davis has been Frederick's star against Lynchburg, batting .377 (20-for-53), even after going 0-for-5 Friday night, with six doubles, nine RBIs, and 14 runs scored in 12 games...

JUST ONE OF THOSE NIGHTS: The Hillcats surrendered a season-worst 17 runs last night to the Keys...It was the most runs the Keys have scored in a game this season as well, and the third-most put up by a Carolina League team this season...The Myrtle Beach Pelicans scored 21 against Frederick, and Salem scored 18 against Carolina...Frederick's 19 hits fell one shy of their season-high, while it was a season-high allowed by the 'Cats...The four home runs allowed for a high for the Hillcats and it matched the season-high for the Keys...Frederick is now tied for the second-most home runs in the league with 54...Only Myrtle Beach, has hit more than four home runs in a single game in the Carolina League this season (6), and they lead the circuit with 75 overall...

PARTIAL PARSONS: RHP Wes Parsons started for the Hillcats last night and only pitched four innings...It was his shortest start of the season that wasn't affected by weather...He threw just three innings May 27 (also against Frederick), but a rain delay ended his night prematurely...He allowed eight hits, matching a season-high, and nine runs, seven earned...He has now surrendered a season-high in runs and earned runs in back-to-back starts...He allowed six runs, five earned, to Myrtle Beach June 30...He hasn't won since June 1 and is 0-3 over his last six starts...

THE LEGACY: OF Mike Yastrzemski, the grandson of Boston Red Sox great Carl Yastrzemski, hit for the cycle against the Hillcats last night going 5-for-6 with two doubles, five RBIs, and three runs scored...It was the first cycle in the Carolina League since Hillcats OF Matt Lipka did it April 25, 2013 at BB&T Ballpark against the Winston-Salem Dash...Yastrzemski needed a triple in the ninth inning to complete the cycle and he hit a fly ball of the top of the left-center field wall to accomplish the rare feat...With 18 doubles, 11 triples, 11 home runs, and 16 stolen bases, he is one of two players in all of Minor League Baseball...The other is INF Arismendy Alcantara (23 2B, 11 3B, 10 HR, 21 SB) of the Triple-A Iowa Cubs...He's the seventh-rated prospect in the Cubs system...

CURSE OF BACK-TO-BACK NO-NOS: Since tossing consecutive no-hitters June 26 and 27, the Hillcats have allowed 67 runs over their last eight games on 95 hits...They have allowed at least nine hits in each game, with their opponents batting .325 (95-for-292) during this stretch...They've also issued 39 walks...The team is 2-6 in the last eight with an ERA of 7.57...Their season ERA is up to 4.62, only better than Potomac (4.73) amongst Carolina League clubs...

WILSON AT IT AGAIN: RHP Alex Wilson tossed 2.1 scoreless innings Friday night extending his scoreless innings streak to 11...It's his second double digit scoreless inning streak this season and the longest current streak for a Hillcat...He also has the longest streak of the season for any Hillcat when he tossed 15 consecutive scoreless frames from May 8 - June 7...He also earned his team-best eighth save of the season last night, which ranks tied four fourth in the league...In 23 appearances this season, he has allowed runs only five times, and is yet to blow a save...In 42 innings he has 41 strikeouts and just 12 walks...

TONIGHT'S OPPOSING PITCHER: RHP Sebastian Vader was selected in the 18th round of the 2010 draft by the Baltimore Orioles out of San Marcos High School (CA)...The San Diego, CA native debuted in 2010 with the GCL Orioles, struggling to a 7.30 ERA in nine relief outings...Began starting in 2011 back in the GCL (2-2, 2.45)...Spent 2012 (1-8, 3.71) and 2013 (7-3, 2.43) with short-season Aberdeen...Finally broke camp with a full-season club this year starting with Low-A Delmarva...Went 8-4 with a 3.04 ERA in 13 starts and was named to the South Atlantic League All-Star team...Completed seven innings seven times, but never more than seven...Tonight is his first start at the Advanced-A level after getting promoted July 1...He last pitched June 27 for Delmarva and has only pitched twice since June 8...
