SCORING SPREE: Lynchburg put up six runs yesterday and now has scored 27 over their last four games...This coming after averaging just 2.5 runs per game over their previous eight games...Oddly enough, the team's pitching was so good in that eight-game stretch (limited opponents to two runs or less six times) that the Hillcats went 4-4...Over the last four games, the team is an even 2-2, winning their last two in a row...

UNCHARTED TERRITORY: LHP Dimasther Delgado pitched a season-high seven innings yesterday...It was the first time Delgado had finished seven innings since August 31, 2009...He never went more than six innings with Lynchuburg in 2011 through 23 games, 17 starts...He missed all of 2010 with a number of injuries resulting from a car accident...He also did not strike any out yesterday...It marked the first time he was unable to fan a batter in a start in his career...It was his 55th start as a professional...It was just the second time he didn't strike out a batter in any appearance... The only other time it happened was a one inning appearance July 25, 2011 on the road in Myrtle Beach...
