Bangor Lumberjacks News Release

Bangor, ME- The Bangor Lumberjacks, a proud member of the Northeast League, have announced that they have changed the start times of their home games to be played on Monday through Saturday Nights from 7:00 PM to 7:15 PM.

The Lumberjacks had their first night practice at Mahaney Diamond on the campus of the University of Maine in Orono last week and due to extreme glare from the sun in left field, a 7:00 start time has been deemed not possible. All games, unless otherwise noted, will now begin at 7:15 PM.

"The sun setting in left field was a major issue and for safety and performance issues. We felt that moving the start time was the best solution," stated Lumberjacks General Manager Curt Jacey.

Sunday games, unless otherwise noted, will still begin at 2 PM.

The Lumberjack's home opener is fast approaching. The Jacks will take on the New Jersey Jackals on Friday, May 30 at 7:15 PM at Mahaney Diamond on the campus of the University of Maine in Orono. There will be fireworks after the game presented by the American Red Cross. Tickets are available by calling the Lumberjacks Ticket Office at (207) 947-1900 or by stopping in the Lumberjacks Pro Shop in the Bangor Mall, across from Ruby Tuesday.
