TROIS RIVIERES, QC (May 30, 2013) - The St. Paul Saints and Trois-Rivieres Aigles were locked in a pitcher's duel in game one of their double header at Stade Fernand-Bedard, but it was the Saints Luke Anderson outpitching les Aigles Jeff Shields in a 2-0 win on Thursday evening.

Anderson retired the first six hitters he faced before giving up a lead-off double to Drew Miller in the third. With one out Phillipe Deslisle singled Miller to third. Anderson, however, got out of the jam by getting two fly outs to left.

He ran into similar trouble in the fifth when Miller doubled with one out and moved to third on an infield single by Cam Kneeland. Anderson was able to get Deslisle on a fly out and struck out David Cooper in a 10 pitch at bat.

The Saints got all the runs they needed in the second when Willie Cabrera led off with a walk and Brandon Tripp hit a two-run homer to straight away center, his fourth of the season. It was the seventh time in 12 games that Brandon had two RBI in a game.

Anderson finally left the game when he gave up a one out single to Brett Flowers in the seventh. Closer Matt Meyer got two foul outs, however, to end the game.
