Luca Hauf Named to Team Germany for 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship

Edmonton, AB - Edmonton Oil Kings forward Luca Hauf has been named to Team Germany's roster for the upcoming 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Moncton, New Brunswick.

Hauf, 18, is in his first season with the Oil Kings after the club selected him in the first round, 59th overall, at the 2022 CHL Import Draft.

The Krefeld, Germany product currently sits third on the Oil Kings in scoring with 15 points (3G, 12A) in 29 games.

Hauf previously represented Germany at the summer edition of the 2022 World Junior Championship in Edmonton where he suited up in two games. At the 2021 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, he recorded one assist in four games for Team Germany.

Team Germany's pre-tournament training camp will begin Tuesday, December 13 in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.

The Edmonton Oil Kings next home game is Friday, December 16 when they play host the Swift Current Broncos at 7:00 P.M.
