Morehead City Marlins News Release
MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. - The Morehead City Marlins announced today that the country music band Love and Theft will play an acoustic concert at Big Rock Stadium in between games of a doubleheader on August 1, presented by WRNS 95.1 and Jack's Waterfront Bar.
Love and Theft, the band whose hit "Angel Eyes" is currently number nine on Billboard's Hot Country Songs, will play a 30-40 minute set at the conclusion of game one of a doubleheader between the Marlins and Wilmington Sharks. Game one will begin at 5:30 and is the conclusion of a suspended game, so the game will pick up in the bottom of the fourth inning and be played through its entirety of nine innings. Once the game is complete, Love and Theft will then begin their acoustic set and game two will commence at the end of the concert.
"We are thrilled about having Love and Theft perform at Big Rock Stadium," Marlins Owner Buddy Bengel said. "They have a huge fan base here in Carteret County and we know this is an event people can get excited about."
Only one ticket is needed for admission to the concert and both games and those can be purchased by calling the Marlins office at (252)269-9767 or by visiting the Marlins online at www.mhcmarlins.com.
