Louisville City FC News Release
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville City FC's second season kicked off on Friday night with the Club's first ever Opening Whistle, hosted by Over the 9 - an exclusive season ticket holder event allowing supporters an early chance to meet the team while getting the first glimpses of the 2016 LouCity jerseys.
LouCity, fresh off a finish in the Eastern Conference final in 2015, unveiled its new iterations of the iconic purple home Adidas jerseys, the crisp all-white away Adidas jerseys and an all new third kit. The world premiere of LouCity's third kit utilized a new spin on one of world soccer's most classic designs.
The Louisville City gold and white hooped jerseys offer a bold look to be worn several times throughout 2016 competitions - including the USL regular season, Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, friendlies and postseason play.
All three strips are available for presale.

The front of each jersey features Louisville-based health and well-being company Humana as Louisville City FC's official premier jersey sponsor. The sleeves show the return of ISCO Industries as one of LouCity's jersey partners and the back features the logo of LouCity's official TV partner, WLKY.
City of Louisville Classic Flag
In an offering of homage to the Louisville, every Louisville City FC 2016 jersey features the City of Louisville Flag. It was used by the City of Louisville until 2003.
The flag shows 13 white stars arranged in a circular pattern in the upper-left corner with three golden fleur-de-lis in the lower-right on a dark blue background. The stars represent the 13 states which existed at Louisville's founding in 1778. The fleur-de-lis are representative of King Louis XVI of France, the namesake of Louisville.
Kick Off Coming Soon
Entering 2016, Louisville City FC has returned 13 players from the 2015 roster - including reigning USL Goal of the Season winner Aodhan Quinn and former English Premier League striker Cameron Lancaster. New additions include MLS Cup-winning forward Chandler Hoffman, University of Louisville alumnus Paolo DelPiccolo and University of Kentucky alumnus Davis.
Louisville City FC begins regular season play on March 26 at Charlotte Independence. LouCity then returns to Louisville Slugger Field on April 2 to host New York Red Bulls II in the home opener, with a special 3 p.m. kickoff.
