
Losing Streak Hits Six as Aigles Knock off Jackals

The New Jersey Jackals continued its struggles north of the border in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, Canada on Monday night.
Trois-Rivieres Ailges defeated the Jackals, 10-6 in the series opener pushing the New Jersey losing streak to six games.
The Aigles exploded for six runs in the bottom of the first against Jackals starting pitcher Vic Black.
Trois-Rivieres began its scoring when Kevin Cornelius hit a two-run double to score David Glaude and Javier Herrera.
Alberth Martinez followed with a two-run double himself to score Cornelius and Michael Suchy to make it 4-0, Aigles.
A third two-run double was hit by Anthony Heremlyn to score Martinez and Alexi Colon.
Jordan Hinshaw connected for his first home run of the year in the top of the second for New Jersey. Hinshaw brought in Danny Canela with the homer.
Suchy got one more back in the home half of the frame with an RBI single to plate Herrera to make the game 7-2, Aigles.
New Jersey chipped away, as Dean Green started with a single to score Carlos Triunfel in the fifth.
David Harris hit a three-run home run in the sixth to make it a one-run ball game.
It was Harris' 17th of the year (second in the league).
Former Jackal Taylor Brennan hit his Can-Am League leading 22nd home run of the year in the bottom of the eighth to deliver the knockout blow for the Aigles.
The blast brought in three runs as Trois-Rivieres went on to take the first game of the series, 10-6.
Trois-Rivières improves to 33-28 on the season while the Jackals fall to 29-32, extending its losing streak to six games.
