
Lorenzo Brown Signs with 76ers

Springfield, Mass. - The Philadelphia 76ers announced today that they have signed former Armor guard Lorenzo Brown.
Brown was acquired by the Armor on October 31 from the Iowa Energy in a three-team deal that sent guard Ben Uzoh to the Tulsa 66ers and Springfield's first round draft pick in the 2013 NBA D-League Draft to the Iowa Energy.
The former North Carolina State guard was selected by the Minnesota Timberwolves with the 52nd overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. Brown averaged 8.3 points, 2.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game during the 2013 NBA Summer League with the Timberwolves.
Brown led the ACC and ranked sixth nationally in assists per game (7.2) in 2012-13 with the Wolf Pack. After ending his collegiate career with 589 assists, he became the third player in school history with 500 or more career assists.
Brown is the first GATORADE Call-Up for the Armor this season and the third in the NBA D-League.
The Armor open their 2013-14 season Friday night at 7:00 p.m. against in the Maine Red Claws in Portland, Maine. Springfield opens its home schedule on Friday, December 6 at 7:00 p.m. against the Idaho Stampede inside the MassMutual Center.
