Erie BayHawks News Release

Erie, Pennsylvania, Wednesday, November 20 - The Erie BayHawks have released Doug Anderson and Shane Gibson from their training camp roster, bringing their total to 12 players under contract.

Anderson (6-6, 212, Detroit) received an invitation to BayHawks training camp as an open tryout player. Last year, he averaged 12.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game during his senior season at Detroit.

Gibson (6-2, 180, Sacred Heart) was Erie's third round draft selection in the 2013 NBA Development League Draft. He scored 21.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game as a senior last year at Sacred Heart.

The two players have been placed on waivers and are eligible to be signed by another team in the D-League after November 25.

The BayHawks will have to release two more players by Thursday to get to an opening day roster of ten players, the maximum number of players allowed in the D-League. Chris Smith, who was assigned to Erie by the Knicks on Monday, does not count towards the roster limit.
