Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

Matt McLain hit a game-winning single in the ninth inning to give the team the 3-2 win over the Rocket City Trash Pandas.

This tightly contested game was a back-and-forth affair. Rocket City struck first with a run in the second. Chuckie Robinson tied the game in the bottom of that frame with a 451-foot blast. Chattanooga took the lead an inning later on a TJ Hopkins RBI single.

In the sixth, the Trash Pandas knotted the game at two on an error by Matt McLain. The game remained tied until the bottom of the ninth. With two outs, McLain singled home Hurtubise who drew a walk earlier in the inning.

Today's win pulls the Lookouts within three games of the Trash Pandas for first place. After an off-day tomorrow the team heads to Montgomery for a six-game series.
