Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
For the third time, this series the Lookouts recorded a walk-off extra-inning win. Today, Michael De Leon smacked the game-winning hit, lining a single to left-center field to give Chattanooga the 7-6 win in the 11th inning.
This back-and-forth affair began in the first inning when Tennesse jumped out to an early 2-0 lead against Lookouts starting pitcher Nick Lodolo. The home squad got a run back in the bottom of the inning on a Yoel Yanqui RBI single.
After a rocky start, Lodolo settled down but was pulled in the fifth inning due to an apparent injury. He finished the game striking out six in four innings of work.
In the ninth, the Lookouts found themselves trailing 5-3. With two outs De Leon smashed a game-tying HR down the right-field line to send it into extras. In the 11th De Leon was the hero yet again as he smacked the walk-off line drive.
On Tuesday the team heads to Rockey City to play the Trash Pandas for a six-game series before heading back to Chattanooga on June 8.
