Lookouts Make History with 3.5-Inning Stretch

April 28, 2009 - Southern League (SL1)
Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

Since the team's inception in 1885, the Chattanooga Lookouts have been at the forefront of creative promotions. From the days of the iconic Joe Engel, until current times with Owner/President/General Manager/Director of Global Expansion Frank Burke, the Lookouts have been relentless and restless in the pursuit of ways to put smiles on fans' faces. Monday night was no exception, as the Lookouts unveiled their newest mascot, "Blooie." The half-sized, blue mascot, who bears a striking resemblance to Looie, led fans in the singing of half of "Take Me out to the Ballgame" for the "3.5-Inning Stretch."

While Monday marked the first-ever time in the history of mankind in which the "3.5 Inning Stretch" was consummated, fans will have the opportunity to see this wondrous spectacle live at today's game and select others throughout the 2009 season.

Chattanooga will continue with their five-game homestand against the Huntsville Stars at 7:15 P.M., today. Tickets for this games or any other Lookouts home game can be purchased at the Lookouts Box Office at AT&T Field, online at www.lookouts.com, or by calling (423) 267-4849.
