
Lookouts Hold Off Suns for Sunday Win

Jacksonville, Fla. - James Tomlin recorded two hits and the game-winning RBI leading the Chattanooga Lookouts (63-69, 33-30) to a 2-1 victory over the Jacksonville Suns (76-57, 41-22) in front of 5,529 Sunday evening at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
Lookouts reliever Jesus Rodriguez (6-5) picked up the victory but allowed the game-tying run in the sixth inning. Suns reliever Chris Leroux (5-3) fell in the loss, giving up the go-ahead run in the eighth inning. Harvey Garcia (5) saved the game in the ninth inning.
Chattanooga opened the scoring in the first inning as Andrew Lambo doubled off Suns starter Brad Stone to knock in Justin Sellers for a 1-0 lead. Stone settled in after allowing the run, sitting down the last 14 hitters in order that he faced.
Jacksonville tied the game in the sixth inning, as Chris Hatcher hit a sacrifice fly to right field to score Mike Stanton for20a 1-1 score.
The Lookouts took the lead for good in the eighth inning as Vinny Rottino singled, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, advanced to third on a passed ball and scored on a James Tomlin single.
Suns RH Jarrett Santos will face Lookouts RH Travis Chick in game four of the series Monday at 7:05 p.m. For $20, fans can enjoy a homeplate box seat and all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, ice cream treats and soft drinks.
