THE LAST GAME: The Chattanooga Lookouts win another nail-bitter, 4-3 in 10 innings over the Carolina Mudcats. The win brings the Lookouts' record to 6-2, first place in the North Division. The Lookouts lead this five game series, 3-0.

The Lookouts got the bats going in the fourth inning, scoring three runs. Alex Sanchez got the inning started with a single to right. Joey Votto followed with a single of his own, moving Sanchez to third. Aaron Herr then flied out to center, scoring Sanchez from third on the sacrifice. Eric Crozier got in the action with a triple, scoring Votto from first. Finally, Luis Bolivar singled to score Crozier from third to cap off the inning.

Carolina came right back to tie the game in the top of the fifth, highlighted by a towering two-run home run by B.J. Garbe. Alejandro DeAza followed with a single and then stole second. Rex Rundgren then singled to center, scoring DeAza from second.

The game remained tied until the bottom of the tenth. Joey Votto started the inning with a single and then moved to second on a wild pitch. With two outs, Eric Crozier was intentitionally walked, then Luis Bolivar came through with a hard hit to second base. Mudcats second baseman Kevin Randel couldn't come up with the ball and Votto was able to score the wining run from second on the error.

The Lookouts pitching staff had another strong showing. Starter Tyler Pelland pitched 4.2 innings, giving up three runs, all earned, on four hits. The bullpen slammed the door again on the Mudcats offense. Carlos Guevara, Calvin Medlock, Mike Nannini, and Brock Till combined to throw 3.1 shutout innings, only allowing three hits. Brock Till got the win in relief, brining his record to 2-0. Ross Wolf took the loss for the Mudcats.

PROBABLE STARTERS: The Lookouts will send RHP Steve Kelly to the hill for his second start of the season. In his first outing, Kelly pitched five innings, allowing one hit and no runs en route to the victory. Carolina will counter with LHP Paul Mildren. Mildren is currently 1-0 with a 7.20 ERA. In his first start, he pitched five innings, allowing four earned runs on four hits. He walked three and stuck out six.

-Outfielder Chris Dickerson leads the Southern League in triples with two

-First-baseman Joey Votto is tied for the League lead in homeruns with three and RBI with seven.

-Closer David Shafer is ranked second in the League with three saves

It is the first time in baseball history members of the same pitching staff have won their 200th career victory in consecutive starts.
