Lookouts Fall to Suns 11-4

The Lookouts (5-9) came into the game looking to get their first series win of the year against the Jacksonville Suns (5-9), but fell 11-4 in front of 3,500 fans.

Raydel Sanchez (L, 0-1) got the start for the Lookouts tonight, making his debut with the team. He was called up earlier today from extended spring training, taking Andres Santiago's spot in the rotation, who was placed on the Disabled List. Sanchez finished the day only pitching two and a third innings while giving up four earned runs in his first start since July 11 of last season.

When the Suns were able to put a ball in play, they were able to hit the ball hard. Every position player for the Suns had their hand in the scoring, but it was Ryan Fisher who carried the big stick in their lineup. Fisher hit a 381 foot home run to left in the third inning, and in the ninth inning, he tacked on another 415 foot shot that completely cleared the right field bleachers.

Suns' starter Justin Nicolino stymied Chattanooga's offense, only allowing one run in 6.2 innings. After Nicolino was pulled in the seventh the Lookouts bats began to awaken. Jon Garcia and Chris O'Brien led off the ninth inning with back-to-back triples, both coming around to score.

Another Lookouts to have a strong night offensively was O' Koyea Dickson, who went 3-for- 4 on the night with a run scored and a run batted in.

The series finale will be tomorrow night as the Lookouts hope to finish the series on a high note before heading off on their second road series of the year. If coming out to a game wasn't fun enough, AT&T Field will light up downtown after the game with fireworks and light up the field during the game with lightsabers on the team's annual Star Wars Night. Come and enjoy the fun, you shall.

Notes: With a triple in the eighth inning, Ozzie Martinez stretched his hitting streak to eight games, going 8-33 in those games, with four runs scored and four runs batted in.
