PENSACOLA, Fla. - Michael Colla (1-1) struck out a career-high eight as the Biscuits (8-6) held off the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (7-7) in a 3-2, rain-shortened win Thursday night at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium.

Colla's slider was devastating for seven innings. After allowing a one-out double in the first inning, Colla struck out a pair to end the frame. He did not allow another hit until three-straight singles which scored two runs in the fourth inning to make it 3-2 Biscuits. Colla scattered seven innings while walking one to pick up his first win of the season.

The Biscuits' offense started with a Richie Shaffer blast to lead off the second inning. Cameron Seitzer singled in the fourth inning, followed by a walk from Alejandro Segovia put runners on first and second with two outs. Jon Moscot (0-1) then allowed a two-run single by Luke Maile that gave the Biscuits a 3-0 lead.

The rain started coming down in the ninth inning. After Segovia was hit by a pitch and the Biscuits leading 3-2, the umpires pulled the players off the field. After a 48-minute delay, the game was made final.

The series-finale is Friday night at 6:30. LH Grayson Garvin will get the nod for the Biscuits while the Blue Wahoos will have starter RH Michael Lorenzen on the hill.
