Long Island Nets News Release
LONG ISLAND - The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, have requested waivers on forward Emmanuel Egbuta.
Egbuta was originally acquired by Long Island as a local tryout player prior to the 2022-23 season, and was waived on Nov. 1. He rejoined the team on Dec. 8 after Long Island was granted an injury hardship exception by the NBA G League while forward RaiQuan Gray (concussion protocol) and guard Brandon Rachal (right adductor strain) missed time due to injury.
In one appearance with Long Island at Capital City on Dec. 9, Egbuta tallied two points in eight minutes.
Gray will be available to play in Long Island's game against Westchester on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
