Long Island Ducks Near Monumental Comeback, as Skeeters Lose 9-6

After taking three of four from Bridgeport, the Skeeters moved on to the second leg of their road trip to Long Island, taking on the Ducks Friday Night. The Ducks powered their way to a commanding 9-6 game one win, with a fifteen hit attack that included five homeruns. Long Island had a five run third that featured three homeruns, giving them a 9-1 lead. The Skeeters rallied in the ninth though, sending ten men to the plate, scoring five times and even brought the tying run to the plate, but fell short and lost by that 9-6 final.

Up Next : On Saturday in game two of this three game series, the Skeeters send out RHP Adam Miller (1-2, 3.37) vs. LHP James Houser (4-0, 3.22) for Long Island.
