(Central Islip, N.Y.) - The Long Island Ducks defeated the Sugar Land Skeeters 9-6 on Friday night in the first game of a three-game series at Bethpage Ballpark.
Long Island jumped out to a 2-0 lead with single runs in the first and second inning off Skeeters starter Scott Elarton.
