Kitchener Rangers News Release
The Kitchener Rangers and the community are preparing for the teams 14th Annual Teddy Bear Toss Night on Wednesday, December 3rd when the Erie Otters return to The Aud. Game time is 7:30 pm.
This year's event is presented by the local Zellers stores in support of Cystic Fibrosis and a number of other area charitable organizations.
Fans attending the game are asked to bring a new or gently used teddy bear/stuffed animal to the game. When the Rangers score their first goal of the game fans are invited to toss their teddy bears onto the ice surface.
Zellers will also be selling bears during the game. All proceeds from sales will benefit Cystic Fibrosis and their other charities.
The bears will then be donated to local charitable organizations just in time for Christmas.
This season Kitchener mayor Carl Zehr has been challenged by London Mayor Anne Marie DeCicco-Best and the London Knights to see which team can collect the most teddy bears.
