Lakeland Loggerheads News Release
LAKELAND, Fla. â The Orlando Seals lit up the Lakeland Loggerheads in a 6-0 rout at the Lakeland Center in front of nearly 1500 fans.
The Loggerheads were unable to muster any kind of sustained attack as Orlando dominated the tempo of the game right from the opening face off.
Seamus Galligan had a pair of goals and an assist and four others scored for the Seals.
Loggerheads starting goaltender Carl Poissant was pulled from the game after playing a scoreless first period then giving up two quick goals in the first 3:42 of the second period.
Lakeland's next home game is Friday January 23rd at 7:05pm vs. the Macon Trax. There will be a free post-game concert featuring two local bands, "Death After Texas" and "As You Wish".
The Loggerheads face off with the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Orlando Seals, Miami Manatees and the Macon Trax in the WHA2's inaugural season. All games will be broadcast on www.irn.fm.
