Seals Salute Zorcs

January 9, 2004 - SPHL (SPHL)
Florida Seals News Release

Frank and Paula Zorc did an extraordinary thing by adopting nine Russian orphans and giving them a new life in America. And the Orlando Seals want to salute the Zorcs, and welcome the children to the United States.

At Sunday afternoon's game (4:05) with the Lakeland Loggerheads, the Zorc family will be special guests of the Seals. Prior to the game, all of the skaters for both teams will line up for a simultaneous ceremonial face-off. That will give all of the Zorc children the opportunity to drop a puck between two players.

"It's just simply incredible the sacrifices Paula and Frank are making, and the love they and their kids have for their new family members. It truly is remarkable the long term commitment and sacrifices they are making to give these kids love and a new life," Seals owner David Waronker said. "We're delighted to be able to welcome them to the U.S."

The Seals travel to Lakeland to play the Loggerheads tonight at 7:05 p.m.; and return home to host the Jacksonville Barracudas Saturday at 7:35 p.m. and will host Lakeland Sunday at 4:05 p.m.

All Seals games can be heard via the internet at www.IRN.FM. And home games are available on streaming video as well through www.IRN.FM. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, and online at www.ticketmaster.com. For more information call the Seals at (407) 447-PUCK (7825).
