Huntsville Havoc News Release
HUNTSVILLE, AL - Huntsville native Hunter Brown will sign a three-game tryout on Saturday morning with the Huntsville Havoc.
Brown (6-3, 200) spent the past four years playing for Division III powerhouse St. Norbert College. He played in 34 games for the Green Knights in those four seasons and recorded two assists.
"I am very excited about this opportunity," Brown said. "I grew up watching the names that are hanging in the rafters. Guys like Phil Daigle and John Gibson were my coaches when I played youth hockey."
The Brown family moved to Huntsville when Hunter was 10 months old. He attended Liberty Middle School and Randolph High School before attending boarding school in Massachusetts where he would get his diploma. His mother still makes her home here in Huntsville.
"It's exciting to sign the first local player in Havoc history," head coach Glenn Detulleo said. "It's not only great for Hunter but also for NAHA! I look forward to seeing Hunter take advantage of his first professional opportunity."
He played in 174 career junior games in the AJHL, CSHL, MetJHL and NAHL. He scored 12 goals and recorded 60 assists.
