Local Product Peterson Is Latest Addition to Barnstormers

DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers Interim Head Coach J.T. Smith announced today that the Arena Football League team has reached agreement with free agent Linebacker E.J. Peterson. Peterson brings much needed depth to the Barnstormers Defense and Special Teams unit.

Peterson (6-3, 220) is a native of Monroe, IA. He spent the last two seasons (2009-10) playing for Grandview College, in Des Moines, IA. In his two seasons at Grandview, Peterson twice led the Vikings defense in tackles. Last year he compiled 86 total tackles with 62 being unassisted. He also racked up 8 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions.

The Barnstormers are back home this Saturday, June 18 when they take on the Dallas Vigilantes at 7:05pm.
