WINNING WEDNESDAY: Brandon Lisowsky erupted for a hat-trick and Egor Sidorov netted two goals in the Blades 5-3 win Wednesday against the Edmonton Oil Kings at SaskTel Centre.

It was a welcome sight for the 5,859 Blades fans in attendance as the top threats on the Blades offence were clicking all night long. Captain Trevor Wong collected two assists extending his point streak to four games, gathering seven in that span.

Goalie Austin Elliott was solid in the crease stopping 16-of-19 shots in his second start of the season. The Strathmore, AB product improves to 2-0 on the year.

The Blades powerplay was dynamite going 3-for-5 on the evening, helping their record jump to 3-2-0-0.

NEXT GAME: The Blades are back at home Saturday, Oct. 7th vs the Regina Pats for their "Pink in the Rink" game.

The Blue and Gold are partnering with CIBC to raise money for the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan through that game's 50/50 and Chuck-a-Puck.

Puck drop is 7:00pm.
