Lions Snag Receiving Duo

(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced today that import receivers Chris McClover and Brandon Thompkins and have signed with the team and will attend rookie camp slated for June 2nd to 4th.

McClover spent two seasons and 24 appearances at Middle Tennessee following a two-year junior college stint at Canyons and Pierce College in California. As a senior in 2009, he finished tied for second on the team with a career-best 35 catches for a team-high 541 yards and five touchdowns.

Thompkins spent four seasons at Arkansas State and appeared in 45 games notching 128 receptions for 1,701 yards and seven touchdowns. A dazzling return specialist as well, he racked-up just less than 2,700 yards on 124 kickoff returns for his career. Brandon was a college teammate of recently quarterback signing Corey Leonard out of Arkansas State.
