Lions Host 'Riders Saturday Afternoon
July 23, 2019 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
B.C. Lions News Release
(Vancouver) The BC Lions return to BC Place on Saturday at 4:00 pm to play host to the Saskatchewan Roughriders presented by The Brick.
Kids tickets presented by London Drugs start at just $10 per game all season and seats in the popular general admission Beach Party Zone are only $25.
The first 3,000 kids through the gates Saturday afternoon will receive a limited edition jersey lunch bag courtesy of BC Place and the BC Lions 50/50 draw presented Belairdirect has a guaranteed jackpot starting at $100,000. Fans across British Columbia can get in on the winning with 50/50 tickets available on-line and province-wide - click here for more info.
It's Family Day at the game this weekend and in addition to tons of pregame activities outside BC Place, kids can meet Spider Man, Iron Man, Chase & Skye from Paw Patrol along with Family Channel stars Josh Bogert & Alexandra Beaton at the expanded and relocated Kid Zone at Gate F.
The fun doesn't end when the game does as Family Day caps-off with kids getting to experience what's like to run on the field at BC Place like their gridiron heroes. Click here for a rundown of all the great family-oriented fun outside the stadium and on the concourse during the game.
As a special bonus, fans will receive a free single-day admission pass for the PNE Fair for each ticket purchased to Saturday's game (promo code sent by email).
Game Preview
The Lions (1-5) look to climb back into the West Division race following a tough road loss in Regina this past weekend. A rocky start to the year along with injuries to key positions have put the Lions in a precarious position and the only way out is to start with a win versus a scrappy Saskatchewan squad on Saturday afternoon.
Quarterback Mike Reilly was good on 78% of his passes last week and threw for 346 yards in a boisterous Mosaic Stadium, so there's plenty of positives to lean on as the Leos try to even the season series with the 'Riders.
Single game tickets for all home games are on sale now.
