One of the Lightning's top performers is stepping down. Head trainer, Brad Augustine, who had been with the Lightning for the past three seasons, is stepping away from the hardwood to pursue other interests. One of the most reliable and stable employees for the Lightning, "Big Brad" missed only two games in three years.
"Brad will be missed, he handled so many of my day to day duties; he made my job much easier." Said Lightning's Head Coach Chris Daleo.
The Rockford Lightning is currently accepting inquires for the training position with the team. This is a seasonal position. The Lightning season runs from October to March and salary will vary depending on the person's background and skills. All applicants must be certified. The team trainer is expected to attend all games, both home and away, as well as all practices.
"Brad's tasks were far ranging." Said Daleo. "Not only did he handle all of our training needs, but he assisted in workman's comp claims, practice schedules, travel schedules, as well laundry needs. He truly was my right hand man."
