
Lightning release '04-'05 schedule

Rockford, IL. This year, fans of Rockford Lightning Basketball have even more reasons to countdown the days until the weekend! Last season, the Bolts had only nine weekend home games; this season, the number has been bumped up to eleven!
The CBA releases its 2004-2005 schedule today and of the Lightning's 24 home games, 11 of those will take place on Saturday or Sunday.
The longest tenured minor league basketball team will kick things off in the friendly confines of the MetroCentre on Sunday, November 21st with a no-holds-barred brawl against the Gary Steelheads at 5:05pm. They'll follow that up with a rematch at home against the âHeads the next Saturday.
Other highlights on the upcoming schedule include a December 7th home game against the newly formed, Michigan Mayhem, and a February 10th game against the defending CBA Champs, the Dakota Wizards. You can also help the âBolts ring in 2005 on January 1st with a 7:35pm game against Gary!
"It's a whole new ball game this year," says Lightning GM Michael Neville, "every home game is going to be something a Rockford basketball fan won't want to miss! On the court and off the court, there's a new energy and excitement surrounding the team."
Head Coach Chris Daleo adds he's looking forward to facing the new Michigan expansion team. "The new faces only make the league better, it's going to be an extremely competitive year in the CBA and the Lightning are ready for the challenge."
