Lightning gets revenge

Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Skyforce dropped a road game to the Rockford Lightning 133-127 (6.0, 1.0) to even their record at 1-1. Rockford improved their record to 2-1 on the season.

The 'Force came out on fire and quickly took an eight point lead (12-4) behind quick starts from Noel Felix and Stephen Graham. Rockford would battle back and won the first quarter 40-39. The Lightning also won the second quarter (39-32) and third quarter (32-26) as they looked to sweep the quarter points from the defending champs. The' Force made things interesting as they battled back from an 18-point deficit in the final stanza. A free throw by Brandon Hunter with less than a minute to play cut the lead to one point (128-127). However, a three-point play by Cordell Henry iced the game for the hometown Lightning. Henry led all scorers with 31 points.

The Skyforce's next game is on Friday, November 25th at home against the Yakama Sun Kings. Tip-off is set for 7:05 at the Sioux Falls Arena.

Brandon Hunter - 28 points, 15 rebounds

Stephen Graham - 24 points, 6 assists

LIGHTNING:

Cordell Henry - 31 points, 8 assists, 4-for-7 three-pointers
